Elmia Wood International Forestry Fair 2005 is to feature more exhibitors from more countries than the last event in 2001.
Show organiser Elmia AB said the forestry industry was growing after a number of difficult years, with German and American companies discovering significant markets in Russia and eastern Europe.
It said the growth, which was also taking place in other countries, created a major need for companies to invest in new technology.
Elmia Wood, which aims to create contacts between industry professionals, takes place on June 1-4 at Vaggeryd, near Jönköping, Sweden.
A new feature will be the provision of shuttle buses to help people travel from one end of the fair to the other, allowing them to spend more time on stands. Seminars and conferences will take place in the forest instead of Jönköping, with an amphitheatre, stage and large-screen television being constructed specially for the show.
