Floor contractors have removed 115m2 of lino tiles covering English oak flooring at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral.
The restoration work, designed to celebrate the building’s 100th anniversary, involved sanding of the oak and finishing using three coats of Granfinish Super Satin.
Contractor Acorn Flooring chose the water-based self-crosslinking polyurethane finish, manufactured by Granwax Products Ltd, for its fast-curing time and ability to restore the wood to its original state.
