Fire knocked out production at Stora Enso‘s Ybbs sawmill in Austria on August 12. Initial estimates for the damage and consequent loss of production stand at €10-15m. The damage was confined to all the green sorting lines and sticking and packaging machinery. Production has been suspended for the next four months and will result in a loss of 200,000m³ of timber output.
