A Manchester timber firm has been fined £105,000 for health and safety breaches after a teenage driver died following a collision with a fork lift truck.
Moores Timber Merchants, which is no longer trading, was found guilty at a Manchester Crown Court hearing. The court heard that the company’s forklift truck should not have been on the road and was travelling with its forks up at the time of the collision in August 1997.
