The Federation of Indian Plywood and Panel Industry plans to hold its first international conference and exhibition in New Delhi in March next year.
One of the organisers, BK Banerjee, said: ‘The Indian plywood and panel industry needs to upgrade its level of skills, manufacturing processes and overall technology to catch up with the developed world and become competitive.’

He said the conference would provide a platform to show the existing technologies available and look at how the Indian industry could be equipped with state-of-the-art technologies to provide internationally acceptable end products.
