Rembrand Timber of Dundee is renewing a third of its vehicle fleet in a contract hire deal with Iveco.
The company has signed a six year lease arrangment with Transolver Services, Iveco’s contract hire arm, because of the increasing costs of keeping its older trucks on the road.
The deal includes three 7.5 tonne Cargo tectors, one 18 tonne SuperCargo tector, two 26 tonne EuroTechs, two 44 tonne EuroStar Performers and three 18.7m trailers. They will carry timber products between the firm’s six Scottish depots.
‘The price of purchasing units outright would have been substantial,’ said Rembrand operations manager Mike Nairn. ‘Contract hire was the logical solution.’
