Timber flooring supplier Victorian Woodworks has moved to larger premises on a rural five-acre site near Upminster, Essex.
The 108,000ft² accommodates the entire operation of 90 staff, including the former Brentwood showrooms and contract installation service. Investment includes new manufacturing machinery, a galleried showroom, open plan offices and stock holding facilities.
The company has retained its central London studio showroom.
Victorian Woodworks specialises in reclaimed wood floors, but also supplies solid hardwood floors, engineered boards, antique and bespoke timber flooring and beams. All machining, sandblasting, joinery and finishing is handled in its own sawmill.
The major investment is a new finshing line that comprises two UV roller-coaster lines and spray line for engineered boards. New kilns and saws have also been installed.
“Our move to Redhouse signifies an exciting time for Victorian Woodworks,” said marketing director Phil Wilson. “The new location offers a lovely working environment and excellent facilities, and will certainly help to ensure that Victorian Woodworks continues to stand out from the crowd, and remain the timber flooring experts.”
