Wakefield-based Forest, whose windows are made using Forest Stewardship Council certified wood, supplied more than 120 bespoke windows for 24 apartments at Station House in Cross Gates.

“Environmental considerations are becoming a much bigger factor in procurement for the construction industry and Forest’s expertise and solutions will help to make these new apartments very energy efficient,” said Mel Hemingbrough of the project developer Land & Property Developments.

Forest director Tom McEvoy said the company’s order book was filling up with similar developments across the UK which are demanding more of a sustainable and green focus.

Forest was only established in April but it expects to exceed its first year turnover target of £1.2m.
