Forest education is building bridges in the Balkans in the shape of an international forest policy course in Belgrade, Serbia.
The course is part of a larger master’s degree programme on forest policy and economics, being implemented by the Faculty of Forestry in Belgrade in co-operation with the respective faculties in Albania, Macedonia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
More than 20 students from Albania, Serbia and four other western Balkans countries took part in the course.
One of the aims is to train future leaders for the changing society and forest sector in the region.
