The Forestry & Timber Association (FTA) is urging its members to have their say in the run-up to the general election.
The FTA has drawn up a list of topics that its members could take up with their MPs. These include woodland grants in England, woodland creation in the UK, the role of trees and timber in climate change mitigation, the use of timber in construction, and the potential of wood energy.
It also suggests that members send parliamentary candidates copies of the FTA’s manifesto – or the executive summary – and explain why forestry is important to the constituency.
