The Forestry Commission (FC) has promoted Kevin May to the position of grants, regulation and partnership manager.

Mr May, a chartered forester, will work alongside the north-west’s woodland officers to deliver maximum public benefits from the region’s trees and woodlands.

Working across the five counties of England’s north-west (Cumbria, Cheshire, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside), his role will involve working closely with FC’s local and regional partners from Natural England to Woodland Initiatives and local authorities.

He was previously responsible for FC’s North Cumbrian woodlands.
