Research and development at the Forestry Commission has received a boost with the appointment of a group of experts from environmental and managerial backgrounds around the country.
The group has been set up in parallel with the recently formed Expert Group on Timber and Trade Statistics.
Overall, the research and development group will advise on the ‘fitness for purpose’ of research programmes and the means of passing on knowledge derived from them.
