Forestry businesses were among the fastest to pay their bills in August, according to a new report.
Experian’s Late Payment Index says forestry firms, along with those in the agricultural and fishery sectors, paid their bills on average 11.98 days beyond payment terms, compared to a general industry average of 23.40 days.
“Given the economic climate, it is interesting to see that payment performance has shown some signs of improving over the last six months,” said Experian’s Bernie Grady.
The property sector was the slowest payer.
