Woodland and forestry management consultancy GBA is targeting landowners, farmers and woodland owners by way of a major marketing and public relations campaign.

A key objective over the next three years will be to help grow the Lake District-based consultancy’s land restoration business.

GBA works with landowners in the private and public sector providing services such as woodland planning and maintenance, countryside and woodland grant advice, woodland acquisition, land restoration and timber harvesting and marketing.

Director George Bruce said: “The foot and mouth crisis hit rural businesses hard and using grants to develop new woodlands with community access is one way that landowners can diversify.

“We are keen to grow the business and were looking for a PR company that had a solid understanding of how to reach key decision makers in our target sectors.”

GBA has appointed Leeds-based NetworkPR.com to carry out the campaign.
