Nearly 1,500 mobile phone poles weighing more than 2,000 tonnes have been discharged from a vessel run by shipper Gearbulk at the Port of Liverpool.
The poles, shipped from the US West Coast for intended use in Ireland, were transferred from the Petersfield onto two transhipment vessels at the Seaforth Forest Products Terminal, which then sailed with the cargo to Dundalk. Further shipments are expected from the US and Germany.
