Changes to the HolzSig, the Timber Trading Assurance Act, were made in October, adding to the existing legislation covering the EU’s Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade initiative and its Voluntary Partnership Agreements.
Provisions in the act include fines of up €50,000, depending on the specific cases.
