The UK decking market will continue to grow in 2008, “outperforming the overall landscaping market as a whole”, according to Arbor Forest Products Ltd.
The company said that the decking market is expected to grow by 3-4% during the year, with added-value systems and accessories, including glass railing systems.
This will be coupled by growth in demand for anti-slip deck boards for high-traffic areas, such as pub gardens and other public spaces.
“Our Arbordeck product has seen a substantial increase in the popularity of glass railing systems and anti-slip deck boards,” said Marc Foster from Arbor Forest Products.
“The use of glass railing systems on decks have the obvious advantages of uninterrupted views of the garden coupled with the benefits of an effective wind break.”
