Burton-based Global Timber Products Ltd has won through to the final of the Burton Mail Business Awards.
The company, which specialises in North American clear softwoods, has been shortlisted from among 60 applicants.
Global was set up two years ago by Ian Freeman, who formerly worked for Smee Timber and Capricorn Timber, and Rob Grant. It has recently won some prestigious supply contracts.
Its products include Western red cedar, Douglas fir, southern yellow pine, plus selected hardwoods.
The final will be held at the Pirelli Stadium on October 13.
