We at TFT Ltd regularly train graders of scaffold boards (including many of John Brash Group’s personnel over the years) and the thorny issue of the so-called “Grade A” board always crops up. I have for a long time offered a bet for anyone to find me the supposed ‘rules’ to which these boards are ‘graded’ – and my money is still safe – unlike some users of these boards in the past!
I hasten to add that John Brash is, in my experience, one of the leading companies in the field of scaffold board supply and manufacture and it takes safety very seriously. I wish all the other companies would undertake regular grader training (and annual updating), as they do.
