Greenpeace‘s senior forest campaigner Pat Venditti has been confirmed as an additional speaker at the London Softwood Club‘s (LSC) Environmental Forum in October.
LSC reports strong demand for places at the event, which will focus on environmental certification of the softwood industry.
Presentations will cover FSC-percentage based claims, membership of PEFC UK, funding needed for certification schemes, bridge-building between major certification bodies and dual certification in Scandinavian forests.
Speakers will also include FSC UK director Nick Cliffe, PEFC UK director William Walker and Stora Enso senior vice-president of sustainability Ragnar Friberg.
Timber Trade Federation corporate social responsibility adviser Andy Roby will chair the meeting at London’s Charing Cross Hotel on October 13, with around 100 people expected to attend.
