The award-laden timber-frame Gridshell building has won yet another accolade.
The structure at the Weald and Downland Museum in Sussex has come out top in a competition to find the “most beautiful timber facade in Europe”.
The Gridshell took the title ahead of six other entries from across Europe in the contest which was organised by Building Europe magazine, the European Timber Councils network and the Nordic Timber Council and supported by wood. for good. The prize for architect Edward Cullinan is a wood-construction study trip to Japan.
