Havelock Europa has completed the sale of its retail interiors factory in Nottingham more than a year ahead of budget and for £530,000 above its book value. Proceeds will be used to reduce the company’s debt, it has confirmed.
The closure of the 188,000ft2 premises was announced in November last year and most of the machinery has since been transferred to Havelock Europa sites in Dalgety Bay and Kirkcaldy. Around 60 new jobs have already been created in Fife and the firm is currently looking to recruit a further 30. According to Havelock Europa, a substantial sales and project management presence will remain in the East Midlands to service southern-based customers of the retail interiors division.
