All the 76 staff involved achieved a nationally recognised Institute of Occupational Health & Safety (IOSH) qualification in managing safety.
Wayne Hovord, general manager at the South Molton mill, said freeing staff from their work to complete the IOSH qualificiation was a significant investment on the company’s part – but added that the rewards in terms of managing risks will ultimately add value to the business.
The training was carried out with support from EEF Western and Mr Hovord said: “The new knowledge gained across the organisation will help us to effectively ensure the health and safety of all staff.”
