Howarth Timber Importers is to run a series of workshops to help others implement chain of custody systems in their workplaces.
The workshops, to take place at the company’s New Holland site, will give full details on what chain of custody certification is and why it is necessary, as well as the pitfalls and benefits.
The sessions will outline the main features of the schemes, the difference between the Forest Stewardship Council and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes, plus how to achieve chain of custody.
Half day workshops will run on October 13 and 26 and again on November 9 and 23.
