Dalbeattie-based Howie Forest Products has become a limited company with a new board following the financial restructure of parent company Robert Howie and Sons.
The change follows last year’s buyout of the parent company, now re-named Howie Group Ltd, by directors Robin and Neil Howie in a multi-million pound deal. The deal involved selling the agricultural side of the business back to other family members to allow the brothers to focus on the core timber business.
The new board composition sees Hamish Macleod become joint managing director alongside Robin Howie. Other members are sales director Keith Ainslie and operations director Ian Murchie.
Robin Howie said: ‘It is very much business as usual for the company but with a new board focused on our core activities, we are all confident about the benefits restructuring will bring.’
