Formerly senor lecturer at the Forest Products Research Centre (FPRC) of Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College, Dr Mansfield-Williams is a recognised specialist in the mechanical characterisation of wood and wood-based products, as well as in wood mechanics, wood in construction and the secondary processing of wood.
At FPRC he was closely involved in several research projects funded by grant-awarding bodies such as the Waste Resource Action Programme (WRAP) and EU funding mechanisms including CRAFT, MAST, Erasmus, Leonardo and Copernicus.
