Housebuilders and engineered timber contractors were given a demonstration of I-joists at CR Taylor (Timber) Ltd’s first open day.
The event, held at Taylor’s head office at Denholme, saw new managing director Russell Tallant compare traditional timber build with I-joist technology.
Taylor’s I-joist technician Paul Amphlett said: ‘The I-joist concept is still relatively new to the construction industry, particularly in Yorkshire, and CR Taylor is taking a lead in this specialist and increasingly popular field.’
Taylor is an official dealership for I-joist manufacturer Trus Joist.
