The name change affects the whole of Sweden-based Holmen Group’s sawn timber products division, previously known as Iggesund Timber.

The change follows extensive streamlining of the group’s sawn timber business in order to improve profitability.

“The name change is a confirmation for the employees of Holmen Timber that the extensive changes made to the business were correct and has resulted in a healthy business activity and a successful company,” said CEO Håkan Lindh.

“This also reinforces our group link to Holmen Skog in the Iggesund region and the suppliers of sawlogs.”

Holmen Timber’s sawmill in Iggesund produces 270,000m3 of sawn redwood a year.
