Interbuild will now take place every year, show organiser EMAP has confirmed.

An announcement will be made at this year’s show at Birmingham NEC on October 28-November 1.

EMAP made the decision following other successful changes to the show format since it acquired Interbuild in 2004.

“Following our return of the event to its traditional autumn dates, a restored focus on the Professional Builder and significant investment in marketing initiatives to support the show, we have seen a very encouraging response from the trade,” said event director James Gower.

“All of these actions have been popular with visitors and exhibitors alike and now, it seems, the industry wants more.”

The announcement, to be made at the Interbuild exhibitor party on October 29, follows extensive consultation and is supported by independent survey results.

“Product launches are becoming far more frequent with 96% of the construction product and service sector now promoting new products at least annually,” added Mr Gower.

Dates for the 2008 event are October 26-30.
