A Balcas Timber fork lift driver has died following an incident at the company’s Enniskillen site.
A 54-year-old man, a qualified fork lift driver, was loading a trailer for despatch when the incident occurred.
Balcas has ordered an internal investigation and is working with the Health and Safety Executive to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Balcas managing director Ernest Kidney said: “The entire workforce is devastated by this tragic occurrence. It is not helpful to speculate about the cause until the current investigations are concluded.”
