James Jones & Sons Ltd has acquired pallet manufacturer Larch Ltd to complement its Unit Pallets operation.
Larch Ltd has 45 employees and operates from a 14-acre site in Wrexham and another site in Workington.
It specialises in two-way pallets and will complement Unit Pallets’ four-way pallet operation, particularly for the pallet pools.
“The synergies between Larch and Unit coupled with the support of James Jones & Sons Ltd, the UK’s largest producer of pallet timber, will lead to increased efficiency and a better product offering,” said James Jones.
“Both Larch and Unit have exemplary reputations for service and quality which gives a very sound platform on which to build.”
Larch will continue to operate independently as a wholly-owned subsidiary of James Jones, with Tommy Cerrone remaining as managing director, along with the existing management team.
