JELD-WEN’s door and timber components factories in Sheffield and Lowestoft have been recognised by the British Safety Council.
Safety awards were presented to JELD-WEN representatives at a ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel.
Only companies with accident incidence rates better than the industry average are eligible to apply for awards.
Winners must have sound safety policies and plans, showing a commitment to health and safety from the shop floor to the boardroom. They must detail their health and safety officers’ qualifications and provide details of significant health and safety advances for the year.
