JELD-WEN has reintroduced imperial window sizes in response to demand.

The company’s Stormsure range of standard imperial-sized windows has been reintroduced after requests from local authorities, maintenance contractors, builders merchants and owners of period properties.

The move is designed to make replacement of pre-1965 windows much easier and more convenient, without the need for special sizes or a bespoke order.

“These windows are already set to be popular when making alterations to older buildings and matching old imperial-dimensioned brickwork with original window dimensions,” said JELD-WEN product manager Joanne Garside.

“We have had a great response, particularly for social housing schemes, where retaining the aesthetics of timber windows is important, but combining this with a more energy-efficient product.”
