A joint research and development project involving ACM Wood Chemicals and G Siempelkamp & Co has resulted in the production of UF-bonded strawboard. The process uses UF resin to manufacture agri-fibre panels. The project, funded by the European Union, will shortly move to industrial scale trials – and a complete market study is under way.
