Kingspan Off-Site is to refocus its timber frame operation in Milton Keynes to provide a service-led offering to customers.
The move will involve a strategic shift from solely manufacturing and selling timber frame solutions to providing customer service, sales support and developing key account partnerships.
The change will see the Milton Keynes base work closely with the Kingspan Group’s Bedfordshire-based self-build specialist Potton Ltd. While both sites will remain open, the company said there will be limited job losses at Milton Keynes in “predominantly non-manufacturing positions”.
“We believe it is necessary to work with key account partners to refine and develop the complete design, manufacturing and construction process to deliver repeatable and consistent high-quality performance that meets and exceeds ever-tightening building requirements, such as those demanded by the Code for Sustainable Homes,” said Kingspan Off-Site managing director Gilbert McCarthy.
