The last conifer trees on a hillside in north Pembrokeshire are being felled to restore the natural landscape.
More than 100,000 trees will have been removed once felling is completed at Penlan Woodland, near Newport.
Conservationists have spent five years restoring the land to open heath in a bid to bring back native heather and wildlife.
The conifers were planted by the Forestry Commission in the early 1970s to help increase timber supplies following World War II.
