The company’s Gateshead depot was approached by Bastion Security Installations for supplies of FSC-accredited prime European oak.
Bastion required 4m3 of rough sawn stock and 10m3 of various machined sections. The oak was used to make the magistrates’ benches, the clerks’ desks and decorative panelling to desk fronts and walls.
“European oak is a high quality timber which is perfect for interior joinery and furniture,” said Geoff Hall, depot manager at Gateshead.
