Leafe and Hawkes Ltd is to increase its Baltic-England liner service from Mantyluoto, Finland to the Port of Shoreham from a three-weekly to a fortnightly sailing.
Shoreham Port finance director Tim Waggott said standard shipments are in the region of 2,000m3 of timber.
He added: “This is an excellent development and reaffirms that our strategy of covered storage facilities and value added services, together with the long term support of liner operators such as Leafe and Hawkes sees Shoreham as the discharge port of choice for many customers.”
