Exhibition space at the next Ligna show is already at a premium, with more than 90% of floor space allocated nine months ahead of the show.
Organiser Deutsche Messe said the number of exhibitors booked to attend next year’s Hannover show is 113 ahead of the number nine months before Ligna 2007. A total of 1,832 exhibited at last year’s event.
“This is an extremely positive trend, which underscores the role of Ligna as an international flagship fair,” said Stephan Kühne from Deutsche Messe.
“All the key market leaders will be present again at Ligna 2009.”
Deutsche Messe added it expects to see similar visitor figures to the last show in 2007 when 107,279 people descended on Hannover.
Ligna 2009 is to take place May 18-22, with the keynote theme Making more out of wood – Technology for resource efficiency.
