The Third Lumber Convention will take place on November 2, looking at the issues and solutions in the Peruvian lumber sector.
The International Tropical Timber Organisation’s latest Tropical Timber Market report revealed that demand for Peru’s products has been affected by a weak US dollar and has impacted the country’s competitiveness against “cheaper products”.
The convention will be staged alongside the Lumber Sector Awards, which will include the best forest products exporter, higher added value forest products exporter, plywood exporter and technology innovator categories.
