Mid and West Wales Fire Service said 90% of a 20x40m single-storey building used as an industrial wood processing unit was affected by the fire.

A fire service spokesperson told TTJ that an oil tank containing about 1,000 litres of oil was involved. The main seat of the blaze was left to burn overnight.

Seven fire crews comprising about 40 firefighters from Wales and Shropshire attended the scene near Guilsfield close to the Wales/England border. Fire investigators were on the scene as TTJ went to press.
