Najib Tun Razak told reporters at the Malaysian International Furniture Fair 2006 in Kuala Lumpur that 80% of the country’s furniture was made from rubberwood.
Mr Najab, who said illegal logs were being sold on the black market, described the furniture industry as a significant player in the nation’s export earnings.
