The 66th annual convention of the Maritime Lumber Bureau will take place in Halifax, Nova Scotia on June 8-10.
Programme highlights include an overview of the wood sector’s importance from a government perspective and a debate on the Canada/US softwood lumber dispute.
Other topics could include economic forecasts, what drives lumber markets, new international regulations for wood packaging materials and a “working together” panels session.
James Scott Peterson, minister of international trade at the Canadian Federal Government, will be guest speaker at the annual luncheon.
