The Stenner twin centre cutting resaw with reconditioned System TM handling system is controlled by a single operator, with a fork lift truck required periodically at the infeed and outfeed.
Co-owner and managing director Andrew Agnew said: "We needed to rebuild quickly after the fire. Since diversifying into retail packs, business had been growing well and we’ve begun to make a name for ourselves in the UK."
The resaw has 42in-diameter pulleys and is capable of cutting at speeds of up to 80m/min, with a positive feed system consisting of three pairs of separately driven hydraulic vertical rollers. It has remachineable pressure saw guides and is fitted with the latest spray system with vegetable oil-based lubricant.
The company provides a profile matching service, bespoke moulding and short run requirements. Products are finished in pre-primed wood, pre-painted, pre-stained and pre-varnished.
"We bring the timber in in bigger segments for a lot of architraves and skirting boards. Over half the bales that we machine have to be sawn in some form or another before they get machined.
"We have three machine lines running so that one saw has to keep pace. It is very rare that we have any problems with the saw; it’s been excellent, with minimal downtime," said Mr Agnew.
