Mild winter weather boosted sales of outdoor products at B&Q by around 6% in the fourth quarter, according to a trading statement by parent company Kingfisher plc.
Indoor products sales were down by 5%, while total quarterly sales grew by 0.2% to £837m (2.5% down on a like-for-like basis.
Kingfisher’s Screwfix business reported a 10.3% sales growth to £131m.
Kingfisher said it had ended another challenging year in “robust shape”.
