The owner of an Angolan sawmill is appealing for US$600,000 to rebuild the facility which was destroyed by floods last December.

Bernardo da Silva, owner of the timber exploration and processing company CEMAC in the Cabinda province of Angola, said some of the money would be spent transferring the mill to a safer place.

The sawmill is equipped with Portuguese machinery and can process up to 100,000m2 of timber a day.
