M&M Timber Ltd is to stage a series of At Home open days to give its customers a sneak preview of its new garden products.
Guests from leading garden centres will be invited to its Cows Top manufacturing site for a tour of the 22-acre facility and to see how goods are produced and where it has invested in equipment to meet demand, including a high-speed sanding line and automated assembly stations.
“The market is intensely competitive and we would normally play our cards close to our chest ahead of Glee [the international garden and leisure industry exhibition],” said sales director Ian Rickhuss. “But such is the anticipation in the trade, we decided to open our doors to give trade guests a sneak preview of what we have in store.”
M&M has also announced it has gained membership to the Association of Play Industries, enhancing its position to supply machined timber to other member companies, such as manufacturers, installers, designers and distributors of play equipment, which has a value of around £200m.
