Chew Lye Teng, chief executive officer of the MTCC, will give the 40 minute presentation – Update on Malaysia’s MTCC Timber Certification Scheme – in The Timber Zone, Hall 6 at the NEC.
He will touch on the latest status of the scheme, focusing in particular on the standards used for forest management certification and chain of custody certification.
He will also talk about the total forest area certified, the number of chain of custody holders and the type of MTCC certified products they deal with, exports of MTCC certified products and destinations, and the recognition, acceptance and listing given to the scheme by different countries, including the UK.
All members of the timber trade and industry are invited to attend.
