More than 400 windows have been supplied by Mumford & Wood Ltd for the residential conversion of the old Herts & Essex Hospital, Bishop’s Stortford.
Tiptree-based Mumford & Wood supplied its Conservation range products for the project, which involved the conversion of several buildings into 270 dwellings.
The company provided heavy-duty pre-tensioned spiral spring-balanced sashes and casement windows, French doorsets and entrance doors, plus hundreds of bespoke semi-circular headed frames.
Optional extras specified by the developer included 16mm fine lambs tongue glazing bars and acoustic glass for sound reduction.
All products supplied by Mumford & Wood were fully finished with three coats of microporous white paint as standard.
