More than 150 timber product manufacturers will be exhibiting at the 7th Branchentag Holz in Wiesbaden.
The show, a biennal event organised by the German Timber Trade Federation, is being billed as a forum for new ideas and an opportunity for manufacturers and traders to explore ways of reviving the market.
The federation’s executive director Dr Rudolf Luers said the continuing slump in the German construction market necessitated a new approach.
He said: “New trends and market openings have to be communicated more quickly. Industry, timber traders and craftsmen have to co-operate more in order to catch the consumer.”
The event will be held on October 16-17.
